Stay:

Luxury
Lotus belle tents

After staying with us for one night you will realise why all of our Belles are named after owls and I am sure you will love listening to the evening chorus of owl calls as you sit around the campfire. Choose from The Tawny, The Bubo, The Screech, The Pygmy and The Boreal Belles.  All equally well equipped but with different colour schemes. The ‘Owlet’ is our heated shower rooms with hot showers and flushing toilets. Our  ‘Cheats Kitchen’ has complimentary tea, coffee, milk etc, and is equipped with an electric kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge freezer & grill.

The Belles are surprisingly spacious (with 1.8 meters of headroom), fitted with king size beds, cosy bedding, throws and cushions, table and chairs, drawers and hanging rack, and with a private outside seating  area with firepit/BBQ, woodburning stove, hammock & sun loungers. All the comforts of home but in a stunning location.

We try to provide everything you may need during your stay, you can even order local produce from our website shop, and our we have an on site honesty shop for extra logs etc.

Location:

Cheddar,
Somerset

Cheddar is obviously famous for its cheese, (check out Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company who make the only Cheddar still made in Cheddar), the sweetest strawberries, stunning walks and for the highest gorge in the country which is quite spectacular. The village and surrounding area are great for those seeking activity or for those looking for a more relaxed getaway, with climbing, caving, hiking or sightseeing and enjoying a cream tea just a few of the things to do in the immediate area.

Cheddar Village is just 15mins footpath walk from us (or 5 min drive) with its vast array of pubs, cafes, restaurants, takeaways, supermarkets and lots of quirky shops. With Wells, Glastonbury, Weston Super Mare, Burnham, Brean and Street all within 30 minutes’ drive, there are no shortage of places to visit if you can bear to drag yourself away!

About us

Sunsets, Scenery, Stargazing & Cider!

We often pinch ourselves that we live in such an amazing location which we share with our two cockapoos, Buster & Boris, three cats, our horse Chief, 3 shetland ponies, Casper, Tinker & Belle along with Billy, Betsy and Baaabara, our three pet sheep.

And, so much wildlife! Owls (of course), a fantastic selection of birds, lots of rabbits, squirrels & pheasants, our own Bat Roost, Badgers & Foxes to name just a few. They provide hours of entertainment and we never get bored of watching them.

We opened Owley Woods Glampsite in 2021 and we love meeting our guests & their four legged families. Many of them return every year to escape the stress of everyday life for a few days and our reviews have been fantastic which we really appreciate.

Its so nice to know that our guests love Owley as much as we do!
